Dr. Lawrence Chang
Dr. Lawrence D. Chang is a Board Certified Cosmetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon whose areas of focus include cosmetic and reconstructive breast and facial surgery, as well as body sculpting. His advanced surgical skills and refined eye for aesthetics enable him to achieve results that are highly satisfying and natural. Dr. Chang is an exceptional plastic surgeon who takes pride in exceeding the expectations of his patients. As so, he has been named Top Doc consistently in Plastic Surgery since 1996, and the only plastic surgeon to be named Top Doc for Reconstructive, Cosmetic, and Dermatologic Surgery since 2009.
Dr. Lawrence Chang attended the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and received his medical doctorate in 1986. After finishing his general surgery residency at the University of Rochester, Dr. Lawrence Chang completed his plastic surgery residency at the world renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he had the honor of being appointed Chief Resident. Dr Lawrence Chang completed a fellowship in craniofacial and microsurgery at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and also has extensive hand surgery training at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He obtained his double board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery and American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Lawrence Chang has been in practice in the Newark/Wilmington area since 1994 founding Advanced Plastic Surgery Center in 1999. In order to provide comprehensive cosmetic medicine/nonsurgical options to his patients, Dr Lawrence Chang founded Nouveau Medispa in 2005. Due to the wide success of Nouveau Medispa, the Nouveau Cosmetic Center was created which now combines surgical and nonsurgical cosmetic procedures with state of the art spa treatments. Advanced Plastic Surgery Center continues to provide comprehensive plastic surgical services in the areas of cosmetic, reconstructive and dermatological surgery. In response for plastic surgery services in the southern Delaware region, Dr Lawrence Chang opened Rehoboth Plastic and Dermatologic Surgery with a Nouveau Medispa satellite in Rehoboth, Delaware in 2011.


Dr. Lawrence Chang has always maintained an interest in teaching and academics. He is a teaching preceptor for the Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and Podiatry Residency Programs for Christiana Care Health System. In addition, he was recognized as an Active Teacher in Family Medicine by the American Academy of Family Physicians in 1994.
