Exilis Ultra

Exilis Ultra therapy is an FDA approved treatment that uses radiofrequency heat energy to tighten (lift) skin on any area of the face and body. Most commonly treated areas for tightening are: face, neck, decollete, arms, hands, abdomen, lower back, buttocks, labia, thighs and knees. Exilis Ultra can also offer improvements in body contouring and reduce fat (sculpt) in stubborn targeted areas. Most commonly treated areas for fat reduction are: arms, abdomen, bra roll, lower back, thighs, knees, calf and ankles. Exilis Ultra even now offers skin “plumping” most commonly used to enhance lip fullness. Nouveau Medispa is pleased to offer this newest revolutionary treatment that is non-surgical and has no downtime.

Procedure

During your consultation, we will advise you as to the number and frequency of treatments that are recommended which can vary according to the amount of skin laxity and/or fat that you are looking to improve. Most people require 4-6 treatments spaced 7-10 days apart to get optimal results. The results of Exilis Ultra will continue to improve for up to 3 months after your last treatment, at which point you should see the full effect.

The Exilis Ultra procedure uses safe radio waves to heat your skin and targeted fat cells. This thermal energy stimulates and strengthens the collagen network which improves skin laxity and texture. Exilis Ultra combines radio frequency energy with cooling so that all areas of the body can be treated down to deep layers in the tissue.

While the Exilis Ultra energy is heating the top of the skin, you remain relaxed and comfortable as the system monitors your skin temperature, ensuring a comfortable and safe treatment.

After Exilis

There is no downtime with Exilis Ultra! You can resume all normal activities immediately after treatment. The treatment area might have some mild transient redness. We encourage exercise afterwards, as well as hydration with water, to maximize cosmetic results. Treatment results can last for up to 6-12 months. We recommend a one-time treatment touch-up every 1-2 years.

Exilis Ultra or Thermage?

Many patients wish to know the difference between Exilis Ultra and Thermage. This is a great question! Both use radiofrequency waves to heat the skin, and require no downtime.

Thermage Exilis Ultra
Old technology (pioneer in radiofrequency skin tightening): delivers radiofrequency in a pulsed format, applying a large amount of heat per pulse New technology (newest, most updated radiofrequency skin tightening): delivers radiofrequency energy continuously as it glides across the skin, building heat gradually.
More painful, uncomfortable procedure as described by patients. Performed under some sedation. Sensation of treatment is similar to pain free hot stone massage. Requires no sedation.
Longer one-time treatment session. Treatment can take anywhere from 45-90 minutes. Shorter 4-6 series treatment sessions. Each treatment takes approximately 30 minutes or less.
Limited to treating the face and smaller body areas. Can tighten skin on the face, soften wrinkles, resulting in a firmer appearance, but can also be used on any area of the body to help improve skin laxity and fat reduction, including neck, chest, arms, abdomen, thighs and legs.
